Descrição

  • Manage and oversee accounting services for a portfolio of SME clients.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Portuguese accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Review accounting work and provide technical support to team members when required.
  • Perform and oversee account and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist clients with accounting, tax, and compliance-related matters.
  • Act as a technical reference on accounting matters within the team.
  • Support the continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with leadership to help scale and develop the accounting function.
  • Leverage technology and AI-driven tools to optimise financial processes and reporting.

Perfil ideal

  • Certified Accountant (Contabilista Certificado).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally within an accounting firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of SME clients.
  • Ability and ambition to take on increased technical responsibility as the business grows.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Interest in technology and AI-driven accounting solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Fluency in Portuguese; English is an advantage.
