The Team Leader will be responsible for leading, developing, and motivating a Payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing, compliance with local regulations, and consistent delivery of high-quality results. This role requires strong leadership skills, solid knowledge of payroll processes, and fluency in Italian.

Descrição

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a Payroll team (up to 15 team members), fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment;
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, meeting SLAs and KPIs while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance;
  • Manage complex and escalated payroll cases, providing guidance and support to the team;
  • Oversee workload planning and distribution, ensuring operational efficiency, especially around payroll cycles and deadlines;
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies;
  • Identify and implement process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and automation opportunities within payroll operations;
  • Support onboarding, training, coaching, and continuous development of team members;
  • Conduct performance reviews, define development plans, and support reward and recognition processes;
  • Develop, maintain, and update payroll procedures and documentation;
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for payroll processes, supporting audits, projects, migrations, and transformation initiatives;
  • Act as a deputy for the Payroll Manager when required.



Perfil ideal

  • Fluency in Italian (mandatory) and good level of English;
  • Previous experience in payroll operations, with experience in a leadership role being a strong plus;
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, legislation, and compliance requirements;
  • Experience working with payroll systems and HRIS tools;
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills;
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage stakeholders;
  • Results-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
