Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Manager will play a key role in implementing and executing HR strategies, policies and procedures at factory level, with a focus on Team Management, Operations and Labor Relations in an industrial environment.   • This role acts as the main HR reference for the manufacturing site, requiring strong on-site presence, close interaction with factory management and a hands-on approach to people matters. The HR Manager will lead a local HR team and ensure full compliance with Portuguese labor legislation and collective bargaining agreements.

Descrição

  • Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to factory leadership, positively impacting employee engagement, development and retention;
  • Be responsible for HR Operations at the manufacturing site, including: In-house payroll management for approximately 250 employees; Management of the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding; Occasional coordination with temporary staffing agencies;
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on Employee Relations and Labor Relations, including: Application and interpretation of Portuguese labor law and Collective Labor Agreements; Preparation of opinions and support to directors in disciplinary processes and sensitive people matters;
  • Lead, develop and coach a relatively junior HR team, ensuring structure, rigor and professional growth;
  • Proactively manage the HR annual calendar, including performance reviews, promotions, talent reviews and training needs for both blue- and white-collar populations;
  • Work closely with the manufacturing management team to support talent attraction, recruitment and learning & development initiatives aligned with business needs;
  • Act as the single point of contact for HR for employees and managers at the factory;
  • Support and promote employer branding initiatives, both internally and externally;
  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly HR reports, dashboards and presentations;
  • Monitor and manage headcount planning and HR budgets in cooperation with department managers;
  • Participate actively in SAP SuccessFactors implementation and HR system projects (experience is a plus; willingness to learn is essential);
  • Foster a positive and compliant employee relations environment, with a pragmatic and business-oriented mindset;
  • Support internal communication, employee engagement and social initiatives at site level;
  • Build relationships with vocational schools and universities to support early talent pipelines;
  • Manage offboarding and termination processes within scope, ensuring legal compliance and best practices.

Perfil ideal

  • University degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Law (Law background is highly valued);
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR roles, preferably in industrial/manufacturing and multinational environments;
  • Strong and hands-on experience in Portuguese labor law and labor relations;
  • Proven experience in managing and leading HR teams;
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors is a strong advantage;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English;
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office tools;
  • Pragmatic, resilient and hands-on profile, comfortable with a factory-based role requiring on-site presence;
  • Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills;
  • Leadership capability, with good negotiation, conflict resolution and counseling skills;
  • High level of autonomy, accountability and business orientation.

Vantagens

  • The manufacturing site operates with a planned annual shutdown of approximately three weeks between July and August, which defines the main vacation period for the site.
  • This role requires regular physical presence at the factory, with some flexibility, but is not a corporate or remote HR role.
