Our client is a multinational company working on the development of their recent Shared Service Centre.

Descrição

  • Provide proactive support to draft, review and negotiate various employment contracts (employment contracts, secondment agreements, consulting agreements, settlement agreements, termination letters etc), using legal knowhow, templates, playbooks and policies, and analysing legal and commercial risks to craft appropriate legal solutions
  • Assist in developing and refining Legal team knowhow including template agreements, playbooks and policies to address the evolving needs of a growing business and driving process simplification
  • You will demonstrate a keen ability to identify legal and business issues, including alignment with the group's business principles and propose solutions to manage issues including collaborative engagement with subject matter experts and applying governance processes including briefing senior stakeholders
  • Build trusting relationships with senior stakeholders and clients
  • Work closely with internal clients from all business units to support their objectives and advise and provide training on legal risks and opportunities related to their strategy
  • Provide global employment law updates and content for the Employment Law landing page; collate regular contents
  • Contingent workers: project managing, collating factual information from markets for audits (salary details, method of pay, contracts etc)
  • Support on governance process for IT transformation and rollouts
  • M&A support: DD (collating DD responses on disposals; support on acquisitions)
  • Change programs (M&A, restructuring and reorgs etc): project manage market by market comms plan and consultation
  • Policy development: project manage audit and review process
  • Employee relations: collate analysis of trends on cases
  • Training: project manage training roll outs and maintaining timetable
  • Employment Liability Insurance: ownership of renewal process

Perfil ideal

  • At least 2 years' experience working at a top law firm or in-house legal department with a focus on commercial transactional practice
  • Fluent in English
  • Member of the legal profession in the UK or other EU jurisdiction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to advise on business-related legal issues
  • Competency in drafting and negotiating employment contracts; strong working background in client, partner and/or supplier agreements
  • Data protection experience would be desirable
  • Application and development of legal knowhow to achieve commercially desirable outcomes, using drafting and negotiation skills. Proactively develop tools and knowhow to support knowledge dissemination and application
  • A team player who engages in purposeful collaborating with legal team members and clients (no job is too small or too large)
  • Able to work effectively across regions, cultures and time zones
  • The ability to organise work and competing priorities and manage expectations of stakeholders.
  • An independent and strategic thinker and willing to take on additional responsibilities
