The role involves assisting in a stimulating and diverse range of privacy issues such as the following:
Responding to basic GDPR queries;
Assisting with fulfilment of subject access requests;
Assisting with records of processing activity;
Assisting with assessment of data protection impact assessments;
Supporting regional privacy projects and initiatives;
support, develop and roll out of new procedures;
Assisting in monitoring GDPR compliance;
Assisting with reporting;
Distributing updates to impacted internal teams and Country Privacy Officers;
Prepare and distribute minutes for the EMEA working group meetings;
Carry out research on privacy matters and participate in team meetings.
The ideal candidate will have:
University degree in Portugal or another European jurisdiction with at least 2-3 years' work experience;
Privacy certification or prior experience with privacy work would be preferred;
Prior experience with compliance work in the financial sector would be helpful;
Good English language and strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
Be highly organised with an ability to work and prioritise systematically and methodically, monitoring and managing multiple tasks to successfully meet conflicting deadlines;
Possess effective oral and written communication skills;
Be proactive and happy to take responsibility for your work;
Be flexible, adaptable and a good team player with excellent people skills;
Be confident in dealing with people at all levels of seniority.
