A key priority will be to continue the deployment of the company's HR Transformation programme, including the implementation of an integrated HR platform supporting all people-management processes throughout the employee life-cycle. The role has a strong internal-client focus, with clear accountability for engagement, service quality and employee experience, measured through internal NPS and performance metrics.

  • The function plays a critical role in supporting business growth, operational excellence and cultural evolution. Human Resources sits within the administrative structure, with close functional alignment to the CFO and strong interaction with the Executive Committee.


  • A leading organisation in the logistics sector with direct operations across Portugal and a workforce over 1,000 employees, is seeking to appoint a new HR Director as part of a strategic succession process.
  • The company has recently experienced sustained growth and continues to invest in modernising its people agenda, employee experience and leadership capabilities.

  • Define and execute the company-wide People Strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders across operations, finance and corporate functions.
  • Lead and develop the HR team covering Payroll & Administration, Health & Safety, KPIs & Reporting, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and regional HR support.
  • Drive the HR Transformation agenda and rollout of integrated HR systems and processes.
  • Strengthen leadership development, succession planning and organisational capability.
  • Ensure excellence in labour relations, payroll governance and legal compliance.
  • Oversee workforce planning in a growing, operationally intensive environment.
  • Implement data-driven HR dashboards and decision-making tools.
  • Enhance employee engagement and internal service levels, with a focus on NPS improvement.
  • Lead cultural initiatives and change-management programmes across the business.

Perfil ideal

  • University degree in Human Resources, Management, Psychology or similar.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within complex, operational environments (logistics, industrial, retail, FMCG, large services organisations, etc.).
  • Strong background in labour law, payroll and compliance.
  • Track record as a business partner to executive leadership and operational teams.
  • Experience leading HR transformation projects and system implementations.
  • Solid people-leadership credentials and ability to develop high-performing teams.
  • Analytical mindset with strong exposure to KPIs and workforce metrics.
  • Comfortable operating in growth and change environments.
  • Fluent in English.
