Our client is a fast growing digital health startup. They are using AI and photonics to build a breakthrough technology platform to enable precision medicine. Their goal is to become THE platform that democratizes access to personalized medicine for millions of people living with complex diseases around the globe. Currently, they are focusing our platform technology on one of the biggest health issues of our times: Alzheimer's, while maintaining ongoing verticals in Digestive Cancer, Stroke and Infectious Diseases.

- Lead, directanddevelopthe Data Scienceteamfromdailyexecution to performance andcareermanagement;
- Develop data science to alignwiththecorporategoalsandstrategy;
- Provide strategic guidance and direction for data analysis efforts;
- Bedirectlyresponsible for criticalscientificprojectsandhelp resolve keytechnicalissues;
- Provide expertise within the field of Data Science and data product development;
- Collaborateacrossteams to implementnew AI/MLmodelsanddevelopourfiberbasedphotonicstechnology;
- Design, plan and analyse experiments for innovation and product rollout;
- Assist in the validation of functional requirements and value generation for customers, acting as a liaison between the customer and the business;
- Work to assure their product hits the highest performance and quality standards;
- Deliver milestones within project timelines;
- Be part of a cross-functional, highly skilled, motivated team, contributing to bring the company to the next level.
Perfil ideal
- PhD or MSc. in Computational Physics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science or equivalent degree;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in data science and artificial intelligence applied to biological systems, preferably at a senior level;
- Trackrecordofanalysisanddevelopmentofvarious data sciencemethods (Machinelearning/Deeplearning/Computationalscience);
- Experienceinapplyingstatisticalmethodsin medical orbiologicalresearch;
- Strong theoretical and experimental skills in designing experiments to increase the explainability of AI models;
- Ability to lead by example, not be afraid to take risks, and go beyond what's expected;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in an agile and rapidly changing environment;
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, solid experience communicating with senior stakeholders;
- Stronganalyticalmindandaninterestinmodernstatisticaland data analysismethods;
- Fluent in English.
