As an Engineering Hardware Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading design activities from hardware perspective, creating and managing hardware project planning with estimations and schedules, interacting with customer and other disciplines for DCDC converters, high voltage power distribution systems, smart junction boxes, body electronics for both passenger cars and trucks.

  • Organizing project information and requirements for success of the project
  • Participating in quotation activities for new business
  • Project Planning: Developing a comprehensive project plan that outlines the scope, objectives, timeline, and resource requirements of the engineering project.
  • Budget Management: Creating and managing the project budget, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the project remains within budget constraints.
  • Resource Allocation: Identifying and allocating the necessary resources such as personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This involves assessing project risks, developing contingency plans, and implementing risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with stakeholders such as clients, team members, contractors, and suppliers to establish effective communication channels, manage expectations, and ensure their involvement and satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Team Coordination: Leading and coordinating the engineering project team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that the project meets the required standards and specifications. This includes conducting inspections, performing tests, and verifying compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Project Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitoring the project's progress, tracking milestones, and reporting updates to stakeholders. This involves preparing regular status reports, analyzing project data, and addressing any deviations from the project plan.
  • Change Management: Managing changes and variations that may arise during the project, such as scope changes, timeline adjustments, or resource reallocations. This includes assessing the impact of changes, negotiating with stakeholders, and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Project Closure: Ensuring the successful closure of the engineering project by completing all necessary documentation, conducting project reviews, and capturing lessons learned for future projects.

Perfil ideal

  • Solid experience working as Hardware Project Manager
  • Ability to manage projects and delivery
  • Ability to lead projects with strong ability of planning hardware tasks
  • Monitoring and coordinate tasks and update dynamically the hardware timing plan
  • Work with hardware management team to update project resource needs
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous automotive experience in hardware
  • Knowledge about electronics, power supplies, digital and analog circuits, EMC/EMI
  • Knowledge of automotive electronic standards
  • Knowledge of automotive electronics assembly processes
  • Ability to travel both in the UK and Overseas, sometimes at short notice
