Reporting to the CEO your main responsibilities will be:
Building relevant curatorial network and proposals, including Portuguese and international artists;
Delivering innovative and qualitative creative events and shows (digital and presential);
Designing and implementing sales strategies and CRM for clients and collectors;
Leading the company staff (5+) in a group matrix organisation;
Managing the annual company budget with the support of the Group CFO and CEO;
Responsible for the weekly payments and invoicing with the Group accounting;
Supervising all administrative and legal issues with the support of the legal Group team;
Representing the company for any PR issue;
Defining the communication strategy with the support of the Group communication team;
Precise follow up of the company stock, including art;
Taking care of the company space and daily operations.
Perfil ideal
The General Manager is expected to be a creative person with strong business and management skills ;
A true leader to guide the team and to push for the company evolution. Also, a significant previous experience in the art world is requested, such as gallery manager, gallery sales or gallery director.
With excellent Portuguese and English verbal and written communications;
Extensive global clients and collectors contacts and a proven digital and collector sales experience;
The GM must be a solid and confident manager able to move a crowd, capable of forming meaningful and lasting corporate relationships;
The GM is a strategic thinker, proactive and self-motivated, going naturally beyond the call of duty, have excellent project management skills, a strong problem-solving attitude and ability to face stressful challenges with composure.
An MBA or advanced degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field is requested.
